With package one we trace the ancestry of one of your four grandparents back to your great-great-great grandparents. This package costs £425 and is payable over four instalments. There is usually scope to extend some or all lines back several more generations and we can offer hourly research blocks if any of these are of interest.

Very happy with the service that Michael has completed and I honestly can't believe the work that was put in and presented to me in the end which I was totally blown away with. I had previously paid a well known genealogist to do another line in my family tree and the comparison is no where near as good as what Michael has presented and I will now be getting him to do that research. He came back with long line of my mothers family tree and also lots of information about them so he had excelled himself and I wasn't expecting the amount of research he had done so I honestly highly recommend him. We cannot thank Heir Line enough. Our family history was, at best, a blur and a bit of a mystery so we decided on Heir Line to hopefully shine some light on to our past. So glad we did.We purchased Package 4 in Storybook format. We received regular updates and were kept in the loop throughout the process and each stage landing on time.Having just taken delivery of the finished product we are over the moon. Having decided I wanted to find out about my ancestors I found Heir Line Ltd on line and decided, after reading other reviews, I would ask them to do the research for me.I am so glad I did, I found them to be very thorough and they kept me informed along the way about what they had been able to find out.Also when one family line couldn't be followed they went down another line to research, which has resulted in me getting a very in depth report and a very informative one.My report came in a lovely binder with all the details indexed so it can be followed easily.I would not hesitate to reccommend them if anyone is thinking of researching their family.I feel they go above and beyond to make sure they gather as much information as they can.I'm sure all my family will enjoy looking through the report as much as I have.Julie Hall.

Retaining Heir-Line to do our family tree has been a real pleasure. Heir Line produced a family tree for my husband’s family and I was so impressed by both the research and the presentation that I commissioned Michael to provide one for me.After each stage we received a summary of what he found out in his research, which was fascinating, and kept us expectant for the next instalment. I found the whole process of research, communication, instalment payments and providing extra documents most professional.Michael willingly made the changes I noted and nothing seemed too much trouble. I requested that copies be made for my siblings, which were personalised for each of them, and were charged at a modest cost for the bindings.We now have a comprehensive family genealogy to pass down to our descendants - so precious. Heir Line’s work really does leave a legacy!

A thorough & detailed investigation into ancestry. Providing detail of places of origin, professions, births, deaths & marriages & comprehensive family trees. All bound up in a well-presented book to be treasured as a keepsake & passed on to the next generation interested in their genealogy. Sadly no one of note was uncovered although an unresolved family connection was solved! Highly recommend, excellent service!

I can’t recommend Micheal and his team enough for anyone wanting to have their family tree researched. I thought I was just buying my husband his family tree for our 25th wedding anniversary. But what we got was far beyond my expectations. Such a comprehensive report into our family history. Some of which for us was utterly jaw dropping. The team’s dedication and time spent on the finest details were outstanding. All throughout the process I was given regular updates into how the research was developing. And lovely little snippets of fascinating facts as and when they were uncovered. Totally worth the wait time wise and amazing value for money. If you’re looking at using Heir line .... just do it. I live in the United States and almost five years ago I asked Michael to help me discover and understand my paternal family's roots in Yorkshire. It's been a wonderful voyage of discovery, exceeding all expectations, and I highly recommend Michael to anyone searching for their roots in England. He has incredible knowledge of Yorkshire/Lancashire history and geography, and explains his findings promptly in wonderfully colorful language. His instincts allow him to see beneath the record itself to understand the hidden meaning or surprising explanation for things that happened 200, 300 or more years ago, insights that I could never have appreciated on my own. Many times I thought we'd hit a dead end, but Michael somehow finds a new source, or makes a brilliant new connection, to take us around the roadblock. My immigrant ancestor left Yorkshire in 1832, and his family and times prior to leaving his home, once lost to me and all his US descendants, have come to life in ways I would not have dreamed possible. Michael's a treasure - contact him, you won't regret it.

I am descended from the Boocock's of Yorkshire. I contracted Heir Line to help me expand upon the knowledge I already had. The journey has been most interesting and I cannot believe how much I've discovered. Michael has been able to find out interesting details and context which have made my ancestors seem very real. He describes their professions, the places they lived, and produces documentation of his efforts. It has made me curious for more and i can't wait to walk the streets where my great greats once walked. Caroline has restored some of the photographs that have been stored in drawers for decades. Amazing to see them come alive again. Outstanding company and highly professional team. Wouldn't want to do this project without them. I'd recommend them without hesitation. I would highly recommend Heir Line to anyone looking to trace their family tree or find out about the history of their house. Michael at Heir Line traced the ownership of our house all the way back to the late 1500s, listing each successive owner. Michael is always knowledgeable, helpful, and great at finding information that we didn't think even existed - he is now working on tracing the history even further back. Now on my third project with Michael, who goes above and beyond in searching out that hard to find ancestor. They even went to the trouble of taking photos of churches my ancestors had married in etc on their holiday.He always manages to find that obscure detail, however long it takes.No question you ask him is too much trouble and he is always prompt with a reply.My mum and siblings were thrilled when Michael found our Royal connections, especially the one to Princess Diane.I would highly recommend getting the bound book package, with added maps, it's well worth the extra cost.With much appreciation for the fantastic job you both have done and are still doing on this latest project.Suzanne. We share the previous reviewer's positive experience of retaining Heir Line to check our existing family tree and to recommend new lines of fascinating research, which Michael continues to work on for us. The process is very straightforward, paying online for a five hour block of research at what we feel is an affordable rate and good value. Michael is extremely diligent and has been able to answer our many queries along the way to our complete satisfaction, or to give us pause to reflect. By discovering that our earliest traceable ancestor was not married to the lady we thought he has explained why it is many of us have carried a further surname in our forenames. Michael has many useful contacts and has been prepared to travel within North Yorkshire to unearth land title records and certificates. We are all looking forward tremendously to the next stage of the journey to learn what he can reveal.
